The government has recently approved two bills to be passed; the NDAA (National Defense Authorization Act), and the NDRP (National Defense Resources Preparedness).
The Patriot Act allows the government to do things such as tapping our phones, monitoring private text messages/emails, and search through, and seize our belongings without probable cause.
The NDAA gives the government the legal right to imprison anyone suspected of terrorism for an indefinite amount of time without having any proof - only suspicion - and without giving the individual any type of trial.
The NDRP allows them to take anything they think they need for "national preparedness," including food, water, guns, ammo, cars, boats, or even a farmer's livestock.
Is it just me, or do you also think we should strike, "...land of the free...," from the Star Spangled Banner?
