| I'm sure you all have noticed by now the activity points and reputation points under your avatars on all your posts.
Activity points are automatically calculated based on the number of posts that you make and the number of threads that you start. It's different for each place you post in, some areas are worth more points than others. As a member of these forums, you will receive a bonus of 5 points per day that your a member. As of right now, these points are simply to show off...but sometime in the near future, they might be worth something 
Reputation points are given to you by other people. If you notice someone post helpful information, you can give out a point, one point per day total. You can also give someone a negative point, which will show up in there profile, but will not actually take away from any of the positive points.
The 'thanks' button appears on your own threads that you have created, this you get to use one time per thread on somebody who posted in your thread and their post was extra useful for you. This is worth several reputation points.
NOTE: You can only access the reputation point system if you already have at least 1 reputation point yourself!
